Mission :

Operation and management of the laboratory’s IT resources. Maintenance and development of the computer equipment. Hardware and software development. Prototyping.


Activities :

Install, upgrade and evolve the operating systems of the machines. Administer and maintain the laboratory’s own IT and network services (WEB, databases, LDAP, e-mail, webmail, file server (NAS, XFS, EXT4, NFS, CEPH), print server, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Administration of servers and computing clusters (x86 and GPU) and storage. Optimising the use of IT systems and establishing rules and procedures for their use. Ensuring the reliability and security of the system. Daily monitoring of its operation (backups, maintenance, etc.). Ensuring technological monitoring. Developing and maintaining certain applications. Advising and providing assistance to users. Management of orders and negotiations with suppliers


Competencies :

Mastery of Unix (Linux, Solaris, Irix, OS/X), Windows (XP, …, 10) operating systems. Masters heterogeneous environments (PC, Macintosh, Station). Manages Linux, OS/X and Windows servers (as well as virtualised servers). Manages printers. Knowledge of system and network architecture concepts and techniques as well as the various types of hardware and software architectures. Knowledge of administration, auditing and analysis tools, basically supervision. Maintains and updates computer systems, manages support and troubleshooting. Mastery of programming languages (C, C++, Pascal, Ada, F90, Assemblers) and scripting languages (bash, perl, python) and web languages (php, html, etc…) and database languages (SQL). Electronic and software development. Prototyping specific to the needs of the teams, from electronic schematics to PCBs, from modeling to 3D printing. CPU architectures (68K, x86, ARM, AVR, Z80, 680x) and peripherals…
